VMware Horizon View Connection Server is software acts as connection broker for clients. With View Connection Server the users can authenticates through Active Directory and directs the request to the appropriate virtual machine, physical machine or Microsoft RDS host.

Virtualization Software Requirements for View Connection Server

View Connection Server requires certain versions of VMware virtualization software. we must use a supported version of vSphere ESX/ESXi hosts and vCenter Server. View Administrator Requirements

With View Administrator, we can configure View Connection Server, deploy and manage remote desktops and applications, control user authentication, initiate and examine system events, and carry out analytical activities. Client systems that run View Administrator must meet certain requirements.

View Administrator is a Web-based application that is installed when you install View Connection Server. You can access and use View Administrator with the following Web browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 9 (not recommended)
  • Internet Explorer 10
  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Firefox (latest supported versions)
  • Chrome (latest supported versions)
  • Safari 6 and later releases
  • Microsoft Edge (Windows 10)

To use View Administrator with your Web browser, you must install Adobe Flash Player 10.1 or later. Your client system must have access to the Internet to allow Adobe Flash Player to be installed.

Installation of View Connection Server:

First, download the VMware Horizon View Connection Server setup from VMware Website Site.Copy the Connection Server setup in to the machine, select the setup and right click, then click open to begin the installation.first

Preparing VMware Horizon 7 Connection server for installation1

To continue installation, click Next2

Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next3

Select Destination folder and click Next4

Select Installation type is Horizon 7 Standard Server and click Next5

Enter data recovery password details and click Next6

Select Configure Windows Firewall automatically and click Next7

Select Authorize a specific domain user or domain group and click Next8

Unchecked Participate anonymously in the user experience improvement program and click Next9

Click Install to begin the installation10

Installing VMware Horizon 7 Connection Server is in progress11

Click Finish to exit the wizard12

Double click the Horizon 7 View Administrator console13

Click Advanced14

Click Proceed to localhost (unsafe)15

Enter User name, Password and Domain, then click Login16
